I can definitely see why he is considered one of the best when it comes to landscape. His images encompass the nature around him in a natural way; when I say this, I am referring to how his images are not edited, they were taken before the digital age, which makes capturing these shots even more impressive.
The Black and White picture style simplifies the photo, but instead of making it less interesting or detailed, it brings out the details that may have not been seen if in color. I can tell that he planned his shots out to the smallest detail. I admire his works and believe they are the epitome of what it means to be a landscape and nature photographer.
